- 02The student teaching placement is written as a job, not as a course. Ten weeks of full instructional responsibility for 27 students is stated as a fact with a date range, because that is what it was.
- 03Every instructional bullet carries a number of children: 27 students, three reading groups, five IEPs, three 504 plans. Class size is how an elementary principal calibrates whether a placement resembles their building.

- 02One bullet reports a programme that did not work and was cancelled. A resume of four unbroken years of gains reads as invented; the vocabulary-scheme bullet is the most credible line on the page.
- 03GCSE outcomes are given against the departmental average, not in isolation. 68% to 79% means nothing until the reader knows the department sat at 74%.
- 04The SEND load is stated as a caseload: 11 pupils on SEN support and 3 with EHCPs across five classes averaging 29. Adaptive teaching claims are only checkable when the numbers are attached.
- 05Mentoring an early career teacher appears with what was actually done — weekly coaching and lesson observation — which is the first visible step from teacher toward middle leadership.
Why this teacher resume works
- 01The scope verbs do the work: 'set the department's common assessment standard', 'led the review', 'wrote the lab safety protocol the district adopted'. Ownership language is what separates a senior teacher from a strong fourth-year one.
- 02National Board Certification is named in full with its certificate area — Adolescence and Young Adulthood Science. It is the single highest-value string on this resume and it appears in both the summary and Certifications.
- 03The AP Chemistry result is reported alongside the enrolment change that made it harder: 47% to 68% qualifying scores while the class grew from 22 students to 51 under an open-enrolment policy he argued for. A pass rate without the enrolment context is not an achievement claim.
- 04One bullet is a recommendation against spending money — a $28,000 virtual-lab licence rejected after a semester pilot showed a third of seats unused. Senior teachers get asked for that judgement, so showing it is worth a line.
- 05Mentoring is quantified as people and structure: three early-career teachers, a weekly cycle, and the induction handbook he wrote. 'Mentors new staff' means nothing without those three facts.
